I joined Health Equalities Group in September 2024 as a Project Officer for Food Active. In my role, I contributed to the development of resources, campaigns, and training materials that support our annual programme, helping to address the determinants of healthier weight across communities. I have since progressed into the role of Junior Project Manager, where I now take on greater responsibility in project delivery and support our communications outputs.
Before joining HEG, I worked as a nutrition coach in the private sector, where I supported individuals in achieving their personalised health goals, such as improving their relationship with food, managing emotional eating, and achieving sustainable weight changes. This experience enhanced my ability to communicate complex health information with clarity and empathy, skills I now apply to the delivery of HEG projects.
I hold a BSc in Nutrition and Health from Edge Hill University and I am a Registered Associate Nutritionist (ANutr) with the Association for Nutrition.
I am passionate about addressing health inequalities, particularly around healthier weight and type 2 diabetes, both of which are closely linked to poor nutrition. HEG’s mission aligns with my goal of making healthier lifestyle choices accessible to all, by addressing the broader social, environmental, and economic factors that influence health.
Outside of work, I enjoy running, Pilates, strength training, and cooking for friends.
