Finance Trustee role: Join a public health charity tackling health inequalities

Health Equalities Group is seeking a Trustee with finance expertise to join our Board and help shape the future of preventative public health in North West England and beyond.

This is an opportunity for a senior finance professional to contribute at a strategic level, strengthening governance, supporting sustainable growth, and enabling impactful work that addresses the root causes of ill health.

As a Trustee, you will play a key role in the overall governance of Health Equalities Group. Working alongside fellow Trustees and the executive team, you will help ensure the organisation is financially robust, well-governed and positioned to deliver long-term impact.

With a focus on financial governance, you will provide oversight, scrutiny and constructive challenge, ensuring strong financial stewardship across the organisation.

We are looking for a candidate with strong financial expertise and the ability to operate at a strategic, board level. You may have experience as a Finance Director, Chief Financial Officer, senior finance leader, or in audit, risk or accountancy roles.

We are particularly interested in individuals who can bring:

  • Strong financial oversight and governance experience
  • The ability to interpret and challenge financial information at a strategic level
  • Experience of risk management, audit or regulatory compliance
  • Sound judgement and the confidence to contribute constructively at Board level.
