My work at HEG focuses on driving strategic public health initiatives that aim to reduce health inequalities across the UK, with an emphasis on effective delivery and measurable impact. This involves close collaboration with local authorities, NHS Trusts, academics and VCFSE stakeholders to develop evidence-based interventions that consider the wider determinants of health and help to change behaviour.
My portfolio includes initiatives aimed at supporting healthier weight in children, improving oral health in children and young people, and preventing violence against women and girls. These initiatives have positively impacted both the communities we serve and professionals we train.
Having started initially as a volunteer I am now part of the organisation’s senior leadership. My expertise spans project management, public health advocacy, and stakeholder engagement, with significant experience in both UK-based and European health promotion efforts.
I hold a master’s in International Journalism and a BSc in Sports Science from Liverpool John Moores University and I am currently studying a Master of Public Health (MPH) part-time at University of Liverpool. My passion for public health is driven by a commitment to social justice and improving population health outcomes.
Outside of work, I enjoy cooking, travelling and discussing current affairs.
